A co-working space in the heritage Building “Scheinwerferhalle” in Erlangen-Bruck, Germany.

The space consists of twenty-six individually themed, open space offices, conference rooms, an incubator hub, and a gastronomy area. Curious Boy Wallpaper and furniture transform these offices into into inspiring, effective, and creative workspaces.

In 2016 MARKUS BENESCH CREATES created a masterplan for a new quartier in Erlangen-Bruck beginning with this historic building. The client requested that each office unit and communal space be different, unique, vibrant and fun. Our challenge was finding a way to coherently bring so many joyful but potentially competing designs together. As the building is situated in Erlangen-Bruck, the name “Brucklyn” was coined as a reference to New York where we developed the custom blue brick wallpaper that adorns the hallways of the space. The original brick pattern comes from a photograph of an existing wall in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
